Does anyone really believe that Obama is only going to tax people who make 250,000 dollars or above?  This coming from a man who has voted over 90 times to raise taxes.  I sure do not believe it, and I trust Obama as far as I can throw him ( which is not far).  Even if he does just tax people in the 250,000 and over bracket I still have a problem with this.  It sends a message that if you are successful, make good money, and are able provide for you and your family then you should be punished.  You will be punished for being successful, even if you are not some corrupt CEO.  The government will tax the hell out of you just for being successful. This type of message and government practice goes against everything that America is about.  America is about finding your American dream, and making that dream a reality.  We are taught from an early age that we can do anything we want.  We are taught to strive for success, and to be a contributing member of society.  The democrats message is the opposite.  If you are successful we will tax you.  We will take the money you have earned far and square and redistribute it. It discourages people to be successful; to make good money.  Hey it is just easier to make no money, because if you make any you will be taxed.  Might as well be lazy, because the government will give you money.  Last time  I checked that was not the America I was brought up in. 

Another way democrats are ruining the American dream is by criticizing Sarah Palin.  They say she should not run for vice president b/c she is a mother.  How can she be a good mom, and also be the vice president?  This is coming from the same people who have always been for woman's rights.  The ones that have always said that women can be and do anything that any man can.  Apparently that just works if the woman is a democrat, and if the woman does not have kids.  The message it sends is that you can be anything you want, but the minute you have kids, well its back to the kitchen for you. This is crap.  As long as one has a supportive husband and family the woman can be a mom and be successful in the workforce.   

Maybe I am being too hard on democrats.  They must be tired always defending Obama's associations with shady people.  I know I would be tired by now. 

There was an article in my local paper ( Republican American)  today about a statement that Joe Biden made.  He said " When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed.  He said 'Look, here's what happened,'"....Well there are two problems with this statement.  1.  FDR was not in the White House yet...Hoover was. 2.  Television was not introduced until 1939..a decade after the market crashed.  So Senator Biden let me remind you that has a vp nominee you should probably know a little bit about history, and have a fact checker check your statements before you make statements that make you look like a fool ( or get a better speech writer?) I'm surprised he did not say that with Al Gore's great invention of the internet FDR was able to write on his blog his feelings about the market crash.

Ok so writing this blog will finally pop my blog cherry.  Let me just first say that I am just so sick and tired of the media.  Yes we all know that they are in the tank for Obama, but it is just getting so obscene.  I turned on MTV this evening, because it is their yearly Video Music Award's show, and the host of the show just starts going in about how everyone needs to vote for Obama.  Now if this was a political rally fine, but it was not.  This was just an awards show.  The show's host was this comedian from the UK named Russell Brand ( yea i have never heard of him either). So this is what we have.  We have some guy from the UK telling people in America how they should vote for, because, as he implied, Republicans are evil.  He even brought up Sarah Palin's daughter and her fiancee.  He was saying that they are an example of why you should pratice safe sex, because if you do not you will end up being at the Republican National Convention.  Liberals obviously do not know how to be funny, but they EXCEL at being insulting.   

I plan on boycotting MTV from this point on.  I never watched it that often to begin with, but I did watch it from time to time.  NO MORE THOUGH.  I have a great sense of humor, but I do not find people insulting my beliefs, my party, and people that I believe in and will vote for very funny.  MTV needs to get over themselves.
